The conference on “The next industrial revolution. Manufacturing and society in the XXI century” discussed the interplay of emerging technologies, changes in the job markets, and the main trends in international trade – with a special focus on the Transatlantic area and the ongoing TTIP negotiations. The manufacturing sector remains uniquely important to XXI century societies but it will need to adjust to a new context in major ways.
