Zoë Gorman, a Sahel specialist with a thematic focus on conflict resolution and CT/CVE, works with the Sahel and West Africa Programme at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI). Zoë received degrees in political science and physics from Yale University. She has worked extensively on countering violent extremism with the Quilliam Foundation in London and at the UN General Assembly, serves as Senior Writer for the Center for Media and Peace Initiatives in New York. Prior to this, she lived in Ghana to conduct monitoring and evaluations studies of security and development in Africa and has managed a successful political campaign in Alaska. Her research aspirations include developing new methods for quantitative analysis of peace and security issues for policymaking.
