Rolando Marini is Associate Professor at the University for Foreigners in Perugia, Italy, where he holds courses related to media sociology and journalism. He is a member of the National Board of the Italian Sociology Association. Currently he is coordinating a local research unit within the national inter-university project “Media and terrorisms”, particularly dealing with the immigration issue as a source of threat. His research interests and publications are related to journalism and public issues, political communication and communications theories. His most recent book is the Italian edition of the classic Media Logic (2017).
