Gian Enzo Duci is managing director of leading Italian ship management player ESA Group and Adjunct Professor of Maritime Economics at the University of Genoa. He previously served as President of Federagenti, the Italian Federation of Shipping Agents and Brokers, and held leadership positions in several maritime and port industry organizations (Assagenti, Confetra, Conftrasporto Confcommercio, RINA, Ports of Genoa and Fonasba). He is a board member of Banca d’Italia. He regularly writes and comments on shipping, logistics and maritime geopolitics on magazines and TVs. In 2011, he received the Lloyd’s List Italian Shipping Award, in 2026, he has been honoured with the 59th Premio San Giorgio.
