Cecilia Ducci is a PhD candidate in the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the University of Bologna. Her doctoral research concerns genocide in the 21st century with a focus on how alleged perpetrators justify their use of violence before international audiences. Previously, she obtained a MSc in Political Science and International Politics from the University of Leiden and a BA(Hons) in Politics and International Relations from the University of Kent.
